Solara is a conceptual, space-themed makeup brand that explores inclusivity, emotional branding, inclusivity, and the power of storytelling in beauty. The brand is rooted in the idea that makeup should feel expansive and limitless (much like space itself) welcoming people of all skin tones, genders, and backgrounds. Rather than relying solely on trends, the brand prioritizes the consumer experience, using space-inspired visuals, product names, and packaging to spark curiosity, confidence, and self-expression.This project explores branding as an emotional experience beyond visual design.
Solara Video Campaign 2025
This video campaign was created to ignite a feeling of empowerment that will allow consumers to identify with the brand and see themselves reflected in it.
The color scheme for this brand was mint green and black to feed into the extraterrestrial feel. The typeface chosen was Hoss Round Slab for its bold yet fun visual.
The background cover for the packaging was done by drawing incomplete circles to give an illusion of a crescent moon. Pairing this with the black background allowed for a deep, striking canvas and allows consumers to be immersed in the space theme.
Every individual packaging came with a customized space related object that correlated with the name.
