A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Dayana. I’m a Graphic Designer specializing in Logo Design and Brand Identity.
Here are some things to know about me:
*Family is everything to me. The moments I enjoy the most is when we get together to play dominoes, sing, dance, and talk.
*I’m a first-generation college graduate from Florida International University and proud of my Hispanic roots.
*I enjoy thrifting for clothes and art. The feeling of putting on my headphones and sifting through countless new treasures is indescribable.
*Pickleball and the gym with my friends keeps me moving and having fun.
*When I need a recharge, watching shows with my dog Sushi while wrapped in cozy blankets always makes me feel at ease.
*Collages are my jam. I love taking the time to piece everything together.
HOW I GOT STARTED
Art has always been a big part of my life, and I naturally gravitated toward creating. In my high school years, I found myself volunteering to design shirts, posters, and announcements for clubs.
It broke life’s mundane grasp and allowed for my curiosity and creativity to seep through. What started as small acts gradually grew into something I kept coming back to and was passionate about.
When I started college, it was no surprise that I wanted to enter into Graphic Design. In school I did countless projects but my favorite projects were the ones that revolved around nonprofits. I had the honor of completing an internship with Common Threads, an organization that works to help underprivileged communities to eat better and do it at a fraction of the price. This made me fall in love with storytelling and made me conscious about design intention.
To me, design is not about just being visually appealing. It’s about tying the community into the company’s message and delivering something that is beneficiary to everyone. My goal is continue and grow that mindset.
